Tightrope was a short-lived Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band that I started back in 2019. SRV is one of my all-time favorite musicians, so this was a dream come true. However, just like dreams, sometimes you have to wake up and see what’s really going on. Needless to say, there were a lot of lessons learned from this experience. The upside was that I learned Tommy Shannon’s amazing bass parts for most of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble’s catalog. I also got to play Zeno’s in State College for the first time and an amazing Blues club in Boston.
