G211

I’m putting these 2 bands together, because G211 basically formed from Main Switch.

G211 was my 1st full-time band in State College. This band was crucial for teaching me what I don’t want to experience in a band! Off stage, drama was a feature…not a bug. However, on stage we played really well together. The videos below are from the first version of the band. After I quit, and then the singer fired the other 2 members, we reformed as a 3-piece. We were actually pretty successful in the hinterlands, playing every weekend for about 4 months. However, the drama soon returned, as it does, so I had to go…again.

Main Switch

This was a short lived band that was ultimately responsible for the formation of G211. This was the first time that I ever played a full gig! Before this I was playing one song a night as I was running sound for a band called Then Again. I probably have more videos of this show, but I’ll have to dig them out.
